clay 3d project

I used clay, paint, and the paint that makes it shiny. Mine is the pinch pot and a little bit of score and slip. I made a pie because it was around thanksgiving time. When i was done making it with clay she put it in the kilm and then after that i painted it then when that was done drying i put the glaze on it to make it shiny.

shadow art

We mainly used cardboard and random objects that all of us found. For day one we used a bottle to make the light green. The hard part was getting the objects to stay up. I like day two better because with the background it really looks like a boat.

relief project

Relief is the projection of figures or forms from a flat background, as in sculpture, or the apparent projection of such shapes in a painting or drawing. There is low relief, high releif, and sunken relief. I picked perry the platupus because he is a cartoon and i thought it would be cool to choose him. I am most proud of the details in the feet, hat, and tail. One thing that i would change is the painting on his badge and make his other hand pop out.

stencil selfie project

Nonobjective art is another way to refer to Abstract art or nonrepresentational art. Essentially, the artwork does not represent or depict a person, place or thing in the natural world. Usually, the content of the work is its color, shapes, brushstrokes, size, scale, and, in some cases, its process. I used this in my picture by using i abstract backgroung useing complementary colors yellow and purple. Then the forground is to make it look more like there is a person but it doesnt look natural and it gives it a cool look to the piece.

land art project

We came up with this idea when everyone was telling their ideas and at someone said we should use leaves and stencil in them different words then that turned into useing leaves into a big flower and bouquet. The materials that we used was leaves, glue, sticks, and duck tape. We used natural materials which is earth friendly and we used glue and duck tape to hold the leaves together.

The article that i had to do research on is called "Newly discovered Van Gogh painting kept in Norwegian attic for years" by mark brown. The article is about the discovery of a new van gogh painting found in a attic called "Sunset at Montmajour". Since it was a painting by van gogh the article that i used to relate is called "van gogh's night visions" by Paul Trachtman. It relates to the article because it talks about how the painter was enterested in light. Also, it relates becuse it talks about what he got his insperating painting ideas from, facts about vans personality, and how he got some of his visions. This is how I related the two articles.

original art article #1

This article that I had to do research on is called “Spanish artist Cecilia Gimenez to share riches from botched restoration of a painting of Christ”. The article is on an 82 year old woman who botched a Christ painting a year ago. I looked up the painting to use it to relate it to the article. The article “Despite Good Intentions, a Fresco in Spain is ruined” relates to the article because it is about the painting that the old lady had botched. The painting in the article is called behold the man and it is referring to Jesus. This is my relation to the Spanish article.
